Ohh, um, hi! New here :) ( "Long-time lurker," "first-time poster," you know the deal.)

Right... So I'm one of those short-hair-virgins who have come to the community for hand-holding and guidance as I get ready to take the plunge.
I have LOVED short hair for years, but I was always afraid to try it myself.
As I've gotten older, I've become much more of a "screw that, I do what I want" kind of person. But I'm still a bit wimpy.

I've got a haircut coming up within a few days; probably Wednesday-ish. I've been dying to finally get the supa-short 'doo I've admired so long, but I'm unsure whether the styles I like would work on my face type. I'm pretty, uh, ahem, "round," or "full," or whatever you prefer to call it. Also, my sister has been discouraging me, haha.

So, I was hoping you lovely ladies could help me figure out how short and what style I could/should go with!

I have a hair appt on Tuesday and I'm looking for pictures of neck-length brunette hair with highlights! Or lowlights, whatever. I did blonde highlights back in the day, and I prob will end up doing blonde again just because I don't think any other colour will look good with my skin (a lot of brown girls do red highlights...i'm currently not a fan but i could be convinced with awesome pictures). I have dark brown hair, just hitting the end of my neck. It does that really unattractive 'poofy bump' thing when it hits my neck. I'm thinking to add dimension, colour but keep the length! Any suggestions for cut and colour would be great :)

The fourth Annual NPC is almost here, and it is going to be the best one yet.

NPC is a gamer convention hosted every year by the Guild of Gamers. There are 10 projectors of games, with a library of 100+ to choose from. Events such as war gaming, Dungeons and Dragons Delves, Rock Band hours and DDR going on all day. Buy your favorite gaming trinkets from Dragon's Den, and meet with other gamers all day. Even better, come in costume - it is the day after Halloween! There might be a prize for you... several new release video games incuding DJ Hero, Guitar Hero Smash Hits, Guitar Hero 5, Uncharted Drakes Fortune 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and potentially Guitar Hero Van Halen.

Admission: $2 for students and $4 for non-students


TOURNAMENTS:
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (12:00 P.M.)
Halo 3 (1:30 P.M.)
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (3:30 P.M.)
Street Fighter IV (6:00 P.M.)
